While monetary contributions enable us purchase the most amount of food through the Northern Illinois Food Bank--thus maximizing your donation more than you would be able to by buying food for donating at the grocery store--below is a list of food and other items that are needed at each of the sites. These items would be ideal for you, your family, neighborhood, church, or other organization to collect through a food drive.
St. Mary's Site: Paper products, toilet tissue, hand soap, etc.
Lutheran Church of the Master: Shampoo, bar soap, laundry soap, diapers, wipes, dish soap, paper towel, toilet paper, kleenex, napkins, feminine products, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste.
Resurrection Site: Jelly, pasta, canned fruit, canned vegetables, cake mix and frosting (for children's birthday bags), toilet paper, paper towels, and diapers.
